Located in a woodland setting Magnolia suits those families who like a quiet area. With a large paved terrace, it offers a traditional layout with a large kitchen/dining room and separate lounge with both bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floor. Built later than the other Gites on the site Magnolia is particularly well insulated which makes it suitable for summer and winter use. It has been owned by David and Michele Harrison for over eleven years. The Gite offers spacious accommodation over two floors for up to six people plus a small child or baby.
We were able to welcome customers in the 2020 season, having put in place additional cleaning, offering segregated areas around the pool, placing sanitising stations in prime positions around the site and offering contact free check in. This will be reviewed and continued in the 2021 season.
LIVING & DINING
The large kitchen/dining room has French windows onto the terrace and a window at the rear looking out to the woods. The large dining table seats 6 people. A highchair is available on request. The kitchen has a full range of crockery, glasses and cooking utensils, with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and small table top oven and hob and extractor, electric kettle toaster and coffee-maker. A door leads into the living area and stairs lead to the upper floor.
The separate living room has two sofa beds and a coffee table. There is a DVD player.
Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. One double room and a family room with a double and single bed. Both with wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. The Gite can accommodate an extra cot and or a folding bed to make the accommodation more flexible for families. Some families use the living room as an additional bedroom.
There is an en suite shower room with the double master bedroom and a family shower room both with toilets and washbasins on the upper floor.
There are panel heaters and the hot water tank heats overnight.

Stayed in the 2nd week of August and the gite and the complex is great, very quiet and peaceful! Pool is excellent with enough good-quality sunbeds and parasols. The gite was spotless and had most things we needed, it is the first gite we've stayed at that doesn't have a washing machine but there are facilities onsite (charged as an extra). Wifi is not the best and the 4G reception is much faster and reliable - assuming your devices can access. This serves as a great base to explore the area and I would recommend this gite and the Gîtes de Carlux complex for those wanting a relaxing break.
We stayed in Magnolia in the first week of August 2018. The gite was perfect, spacious, well equipped and clean. Located on the lovely Gîtes de Carlux complex, although Magnolia doesn’t have a view of Carlux village, it does have ample space and outdoor seating for a family of 4-5. A stone’s throw from the pool, in 37 degree heat, it was perfect for us. Nick was a brilliant host and organised an enjoyable social and badminton evening on the Wednesday night, a great way to get to know all the neighbours. Dawn was really helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We met lots of people who’d been numerous times and we can see why. We’d love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gîtes de Carlux.
